2024-2025 Academic Year Exemption Examination
Examination Date: Thursday, 25 September
Examination Time: 14:00
Examination Venue: Each student will take the examination at their own unit.
Examination Method: In-person
The Exemption Examination will be held for our students enrolled in our university's faculties and vocational schools for the courses ‘Foreign Language’, ‘Basic Information Technologies’, ‘Turkish Language’ and ‘History of Atatürk's Principles and Revolutions’. Applications for students wishing to take the Exemption Exam will begin on 22 September 2025. Students may submit their applications to their units by letter by 17:00 on 23 September 2025.
NOTE:
1. The Exemption Exam will be held in a single session; the exam duration for each course is 30 minutes. Students are not permitted to leave the examination hall during the first 30 minutes of the examination. Participation in the examination is not compulsory; students who participate in the examination and pass will be exempt from the aforementioned courses. (Students may take the exemption examination for up to four courses if they wish.)
2. Each student will take the exam at their own faculty or vocational school.
Who can apply for the exam?
1. Students who have previously suspended their enrolment and will start their studies in the 1st year this year can apply for the exam.
2. First-year students who enrolled in our university's undergraduate and associate degree programmes with the 2025 YKS can apply for the exam.
